Travelling and enjoying the long walks and food found in Alaska, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Taipei in Taiwan, Medan in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Although it was quite difficult to resist the desserts, especially when you are on a cruise for 7 days where all the food are already paid for and there is no limit one can eat, there is plenty of low fat, low carb, high fibre, high protein to eat.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0;"&gt;In particular I enjoyed the baby ribs in Anchorage/Alaska and Vancouver/Canada, with vegetables on the side. Hong Kong has an interesting range of which I love their Tim Sum, Roasted Goose and Swee Kao soup. Medan/Indonesia was a little difficult as most food has some sugar in it, even cooked meat and fish.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #c27ba0;"&gt;So bon appettite! Fortunately some did, although very few in numbers, and they came in support of me. A few months ago, a Yahooer discussed her strategy for dieting. She was on a calorie restricted diet while I was and still am, on a low fat, low carb, high fibre, high protein with no worries about calories intake. My maxim : If you eat right, forget about counting. On how to do it right read : &lt;a href="http://www.howtostartxiaozhen.blogspot.com/"&gt;How to Start&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;What strike me and left a lasting impression on me was Small Goals. I agreed with her totally. In achieving difficult tasks, it is good to take small steps and achieve small goals each time. Every small step you take brings you so much closer to the final goal. It makes the final goal easier to achieve and the distance to it shorter.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;This is true for losing weight. You have a goal of 30 kgs to lose. It is a lot and seems difficult and even impossible. Set a small goal of losing 1 kg every two weeks. In 60 weeks, that is a year and 1 month, you would have achieved your goal of losing 30 kgs.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: #8e7cc3;"&gt;True again for reducing sugar. Eat a little lesser sugar everytime you drink your coffee or tea. When you start, walk at a comfortable pace for 1 km. Increase your pace and distance every day when you walk. Before long you would be walking briskly for distances that you initally thought you couldn't. I am walking at a comfortable 6km/hr. I finish my 6 km walk every morning within the hour. Sometimes I go for more, up to 10 kms. Sometimes when I tire, I go for less - 5 km. I rest mostly on weekends.
